The Community Computer Society (CECS), an ICT training NGO, has issued a call for computer literate high school mathematics teachers in Gauteng to attend a pilot ICT training course in Johannesburg.

The course will test new course material aimed at equipping maths teachers with the skills to use a word-processing program to develop resources, such as test and exam papers or assignments, which incorporate formulae and diagrams.

The courseware has been developed with the support of the Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa.

CECS is seeking 10 teachers who are comfortable using a word-processing program, who teach mathematics at a senior secondary or high school level on a full-time basis and who are willing to help train other mathematics teachers.
