Teleco awarded for enterprise architecture

MTS, Indian mobile brand, has been awarded two honours at the recently held iCMG Architecture Excellence Awards 2010 at Bangalore, reveals Web NewsWire.

MTS was conferred an iCMG Architecture Award for growing business in new territory or new service offering, and for its unique approach to enterprise architecture (EA) and strategy.

The category of 'growing business in new territory or new service offering' was one of the most competitive categories during the judging process with over 17 nominations across the globe including international and regional technology heavy hitters.

Conference to recognise EA's importance

In celebration of its fifth anniversary, WSO2, an open source technology company, is the first WSO2 Conference in Sri Lanka on 14 and 15 September, says the Daily Mirror.

"WSO2Con will be an annual event and spread to other places around the globe, with the vision of bringing together a technology community to exchange knowledge, vision, and share best practices and success stories," says CEO Sanjiva Weerawarana.

Designed to help prepare organisations for the future enterprise, WSO2Con 2010 stems from the recognition that enterprise IT architecture evolves at a rapid pace, constantly unleashing new possibilities and increasing both the expectations and the demands of business.
