TelePassport, the Proudly South African least-cost routing specialist, has secured a tender to provide the Department of Public Works with its market-leading LCR solution in KZN.
"We got the news only 10 days after the close of the tender," says Duncan Palmer, TelePassport`s Business Procurement Manager. The department has given TelePassport 14 days to install its solution, but Palmer says: "If their PBX has the required ports available we will be ready to install in two days. We had a good feeling about this tender and as usual have made sure we are in a position to roll-out our solution as soon as we get the green light."
Asked to comment about the future of telecommunications given the current deregulation of the market in general, Potgieter says: "We`re obviously going to see a huge increase in competition and TelePassport is more than happy to fight for our share of the market. We feel that with the solid products we have in our stable and our proven performance we won`t be affected as much as newer companies entering the market. Twelve years in this industry really does teach you a lot of valuable lessons and we have refined our products and our approach continuously over the years. And what clients are starting to realise is that despite all the hype and new technology available, it simply means more routes that need to be provided and addressed - at least cost - and the established and proven LCR specialist holds the key to this."
