Telkom Do Gaming is planning two gaming competitions, with a view to create the largest online league in the country.
Ricus Groenewald, Telkom gaming manager, says Battlefield 3 has been a key focus for Telkom Do Gaming over the past couple of months, and will be an important part of the 2012 Do Gaming League.
Rynier Schoeman, Gaming Inc events co-ordinator, says the company is throwing its weight behind Battlefield 3 and hopes to see it become the largest online league in SA.
As part of the 2012 season, Telkom Do Gaming will also host a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 online league, for total prize money of R50 000.
The cash prize has been sponsored by Megarom, the local distributor of the game, which has partnered with Telkom Do Gaming on its Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 2012 league.
Last month, Telkom Do Gaming hosted its DGL LAN Championships 2011 at the rAge Expo, where more than R350 000 in cash and hardware was given to competing gamers.
