Telkom's chief financial officer Peter Nelson has resigned, but will serve out a three months' notice period.
A Stock Exchange News Service notice posted by Telkom late this afternoon says that Nelson's resignation will take effect from 9 October and that the group wished him well. No reason was given for his resignation.
Nelson's resignation comes five days after Telkom announced that Reuben September had resigned with immediate effect as group CEO and that Jeffery Hedberg had been appointed in an acting capacity.
September appointed Nelson as CFO in October 2008.
Last month Telkom announced that Thami Msimango, who was MD of its Nigerian Multi-Links operation, and Marius Mostert, group head of network infrastructure provisioning, had taken voluntary retrenchment packages.
