Testing service unveiled

Empirix, a service quality assurance solutions provider for new IP communications, has unveiled its 'testing-as-a-service' solution, according to Call Centre Clinic.

The solution is a combination of best-in-breed Empirix products and professional services that are tailored to meet an organisation's needs.

With Empirix Testing-as-a-Service, even the largest contact centres can validate the quality of the user experience and overall performance to deliver the most business value in the least amount of time.

ITyX expands into UK

ITyX, a systems integrator for service solutions and contact centre self-learning software, has opened offices in Newcastle upon Tyne, reports Call Centre Helper.

This is the latest step in the European expansion of the German intelligent response software company.

Andreas Klug, MD of ITyX says: “Thanks to the support of and integration here in the UK, we have gained great insight into this dynamic and very exciting market. We are now able to locally support service organisations looking for intelligent self-service.”

Council deploys IP solution

Inverclyde Council has successfully deployed the first phase of an IP telephony platform across all of its sites together with Telewest Business, part of the Virgin Media group, according to TMCnet.

Once completed, the new system, which has been rolled out to the area's schools, nurseries, leisure centres, council administration buildings and social workers, will improve communication between the council's 5 000 staff and its citizens.

This project paves the way for a new contact centre and enables staff to work remotely as needed. The initiative is part of Inverclyde Council's major ICT modernisation programme and builds on the capabilities of the high-speed Ethernet virtual private network implemented by Telewest Business in 2007.
