Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the leading European IT provider, has announced a full series of new workstations that use the latest Intel technology.
The CELSIUS W350, CELSIUS M450, CELSIUS R540 and CELSIUS R640 workstations provide greater performance and memory capacity and, thanks to their improved chassis and cooling technology, are even quieter than previous models.
With these new products, Fujitsu Siemens Computers is underlining its position as a leading company in the field of workstations - according to Gartner, the company enjoyed growth of 60% based on units shipped in the last calendar year in the region Europe, Middle East and Africa.*
CELSIUS W350 - outstandingly quiet entry-level workstation housed in new chassis
The CELSIUS W350, with the latest Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Pentium D or single-core Pentium 4 processor, is particularly suitable for 2D applications such as Web design and CAD (computer-aided design). It is also ideal for applications such as EDA (electronic design and automation), and for financial services, analysis and the medical environment. With its new processor and chipset technology, it provides better performance and makes it possible to increase memory capacity to 8GB - twice that of the previous model. The new BTX tower chassis ensures superior cooling, and therefore reduces noise considerably.

The CELSIUS M450 has the latest Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Pentium D or single-core Pentium 4 processor, together with the complete range of high-speed PCI Express 2D and 3D OpenGL graphics cards. It is particularly quiet, and has space for up to four SATA or SAS hard disks drives allowing for easy expansion. The system can also be integrated into racks for cluster solutions. It is especially suitable for CAD, DCC (digital content creation), visualisation and EDA applications.

The CELSIUS R540 is equipped with the latest dual-core Intel Xeon processors of the 5100 series, together with the complete range of high-speed PCI Express 2D and 3D OpenGL graphics cards. In spite of its compact chassis, it provides space for up to four hard disks. It can also be configured with up to 16GB of memory. In addition, a new cooling concept makes the CELSIUS R540 extremely quiet. The compact CELSIUS R540 workstation has been developed for applications requiring particularly high performance, for instance software development, 3D modelling, CAD and financial applications such as forecasting. It can also be integrated into racks for cluster solutions.

The CELSIUS R640 is equipped with the latest dual-core Intel Xeon processors of the 5100 series, together with the complete range of high-speed PCI Express 2D and 3D OpenGL graphics cards. Thanks to its larger chassis, the system has room for extra features and additional components. In addition, the new cooling concept makes the CELSIUS R640 particularly quiet. Focused development ensured that this new high-end CELSIUS R640 workstation is especially suited to animation, virtual reality, visualisation, technical simulation and geosciences. This model can also be integrated into racks.
