Leading laptop and accessories retailer, The Notebook Company (www.notebook.co.za), has become what is believed to be the first laptop retailer to deliver laptops for free anywhere in SA with the launch of its "door-to-door free delivery service".
The company, which sells a wide range of brand-name laptops, including Acer, Mecer, Toshiba, IBM, Auwa, Asus and Compaq, plans to distribute its products from its Pretoria head office on a "door-to-door" basis, promising delivery within two to four days.
This was confirmed by the company`s general manager, Christopher Riley, who said the company had recently reviewed its logistical policies, opting in favour of the free door-to-door delivery service as a "client enhancement" and as a way to possibly court additional clients.
"We used to reserve this service for our Gold class customers only, but have expanded this to include anyone who purchases a laptop from us," said Riley.
He said the company would be using a reputable courier service to make the deliveries. The company also boasts laptop rental centres in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
