The Notebook Company, one of SA`s foremost specialist notebook companies, has announced it is to sell its notebook range on M-Web`s e-commerce Web site, called Shopzone.co.za.
This was confirmed by Christopher Riley, general manager at The Notebook Company. Riley said the company is in the final stages of negotiations with M-Web, and intends offering its entire notebook range on-line. "Besides selling our product range on M-Web`s Shopzone e-commerce site, we will be setting up a hyperlink from Shopzone.co.za to The Notebook Company`s own on-line web-site," said Riley.
Launched during the tail end of 1999, sales through The Notebook Company`s own web-site already contribute 10% to company coffers. "With our planned tie-up with Shopzone.co.za, we believe on-line sales will be given an added boost. We anticipate that on-line sales will account for 80% of our turnover within the next two years," he predicted.
The Notebook Company sells a wide range of brand-name notebook computers, including Asus, Laptech, IBM, Compaq, Mecer, Toshiba and Auwa.
