The Notebook Company to sell refurbished units

Johannesburg, 13 Jun 2003

Notebook and accessories retailer, The Notebook Company (www.notebook.co.za), has announced it is to sell brand name refurbished laptops with factory warranties.

The laptops, which will include IBM, HP, and Compaq models, will be sold from R6 500 and will include factory warranties ranging from two to six months.

Christopher Riley, CEO of The Notebook Company, said there is a "strong and increasing demand" for refurbished units from both companies and individuals. "We expect the sale of refurbished units to account for 25% of our revenue during the next 12 months.

"Refurbished units are perfect for people with budgetary demands. Personally I would rather opt for a branded refurbished unit than a cheap non-branded laptop."
