Celerant Technology, a provider of software, recently completed the Web development and retail software integration for their long time client, C&W Shoes, dba The Shoe Gallery, says Retail Solutions Online.

Celerant released The Shoe Gallery's e-commerce site, www.shoegalleryonline.com in September 2008 has proven to be a very successful and profitable addition to their business.

RDM unveils low-cost scanner

RDM Corporation, a developer of specialised software and hardware products for electronic payment processing and remote deposit capture (RDC) solutions, has released its EC7500i series which features a low-cost check scanner with an integrated receipt printer with magstripe, reports PR Newswire.

The EC7500i series is suited to both PC-based remote deposit capture and retail POS applications seeking to take advantage of a low-cost and highly configurable check scanner.

With options such as magstripe and a new integrated receipt printer, both remote deposit capture and retail POS solutions will be able to benefit from the small footprint which saves valuable real estate on the merchant countertop. According to the company it also saves the merchant money by reducing the need for an extra receipt printer and is easy for the merchant to install due to its simplified connectivity.

Deborah Collin climbs onboard

UK Onboard Retail Solutions has announced the appointment of Deborah Collin as head of delivery, states The Moodie Report.

Collin's responsibilities will include managing the delivery team to ensure that projects are delivered to customers on time. She will also ensure that implementations achieve the required business benefits.

Collin brings over 20 years of travel industry experience to the company, having specialised in business and IT management for tour operations, airline and rail. She joins the company from National Express East Coast where she managed the implementation of onboard retail systems on 46 trains.
