The first of the highly anticipated 9-series from XFX, the new GeForce 9600 GT, is guaranteed to push your gaming experience to new heights.
With up to 90% greater performance than any GeForce card in its class, the best thing about the 9600 GT is that it is good value for money - and is available from Axiz, XFX's official South African distributor.
Kobus De Beer, components platform lead at Axiz, says the card sports PureVideo HD technology, which enables HD-DVD and Blu-ray video playback with brilliant clarity.
"This card is a powerful product with full Microsoft DirectX 10 support, NVIDIA's Quantum Effects Technology, Lumenex engine and Unified Architecture. You can play the hottest games with jaw-dropping speed."
When it comes to specs, the XFX GeForce 9600 GT is set to impress. It runs a core speed of 650MHz, with XFX overclocked versions available in the Extreme and XXX editions that push 680 and 700MHz respectively. It is also HDMI capable, fully HDMI certified, and includes an HDMI component kit and "Company of Heroes" as a bonus game bundle.
By pairing up two of these cards, you'll give yourself twice the performance of a single-card set up - thanks to its NVIDIA SLI technology. Pair it up with an XFX nForce motherboard, and you'll create the ultimate graphics platform.
Bandwidth-hungry games and 3D applications are also no trouble for the GeForce 9600 GT as it's compatible with both PCI Express and the new PCI Express 2.0 bus architecture. It even ensures top-notch capability and performance for OpenGL applications.
And, when it comes to performing outside the gaming arena, you're also set to enjoy a premium 3D user experience with Windows Vista and Windows Media Centre. By offloading the CPU (central processing unit), you'll also be able to work on other tasks such as sharing, editing and managing your photos and videos. The GeForce 9600 GT's NVIDIA PureVideo HD technology guarantees superb picture quality and ultra-smooth movies with 100% offload of H.264 video decoding from the CPU while reducing power consumption. Dual link DVI support enables the 9600GT to drive the industry's largest and highest resolution flat-panel displays (up to 2560 x 1600), and also supports High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP).
The XFX GeForce 9600 GT will not only suit your PC but also your pocket. Order yours today - and take your gaming to the next level.
