CSSI, which has been supplying and distributing storage solutions for 10 years in South Africa, has been given an early birthday present days before its 10-year anniversary, with the awarding of the distribution rights for Thecus storage devices, ranging from NAS (network attached storage), DAS (direct attached storage) and iSCSI, high performance and redundant storage devices.
Thecus has been snagging award after award at every technology show around the world over the year, winning gold and silver awards in eWeek Europe, PC Europe Magazine, CNET and HVM Malaysia in the past few months, and marking the products and the company as a serious contender for high performance solutions for the SOHO market to the enterprise market, with a host of products to support storage requirements from 2TB to over 20TB of storage per device.
Thecus has a major distribution footprint throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas, and will now have a strong distribution partner in South Africa, which only focuses on the distribution, sales and support of storage-related products from hard drives, backup devices and storage devices.
CSSI will distribute Thecus to its reseller and dealer channels through its Midrand, Cape Town and Durban offices and has a trained team of support specialists to assist, install and support the product range where required, further adding value to its dealers and partner programme clients in South Africa and neighbouring countries.
The announcement comes days prior to the company's 10-year anniversary as a leading player in the storage market of South Africa, and as one of the most successful niche specialist IT and data storage companies on the continent.
