In what is another valuable addition to the growing portable space, Tarsus Technologies, the value-add distribution arm of MB Technologies, introduces the new IBMThinkPad T30 range. The offering is ideal for frequent travellers who demand high performance in a lightweight notebook.
Weighing in at a mere 2.22kg, the strong titanium package hosts a Mobile Intel Pentium 4 Processor-M at 1.9 or 2GHz, depending on the model, and features a 14.1-inch TFT screen.
"Comfort and display are not sacrificed through mobility, thanks to a customised touch pad on selected models and an ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 video chip with 16MB SDRAM and four times Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) video," says Tanya Smart, IBM PCD product manager at Tarsus Technologies.
Mobility is further enhanced by a choice of integrated wireless communication options including a modem, Ethernet LAN connection, IEEE 802.11b-based wireless LAN and integrated Bluetooth on selected models. Organisations can reduce IT costs and simplify client deployment and management with ImageUltra Services. This suite of offerings range from creating custom images to producing a single image that can accommodate an enterprise`s need for different operating systems, languages and applications in deploying selected ThinkPad or NetVista systems.
"The ThinkPad T30 system comes pre-installed with Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Windows 2000 Professional and selected applications and the standard 256MB of memory is expandable to 1.0GB," concludes Smart.
