ActiveMatrix Manager and Service Performance Manager from Tibco will combine with HP SOA Systinet, to reduce and improve management of SOA environments.

The solution aims to assist companies in identifying and defining appropriate services, managing the life cycle of service assets and measuring effectiveness.

Finance firms fail to manage risk

A Deloitte survey on global risk management reveals that more than half of the world's top financial institutions don't have fully integrated risk management practices in their systems, reports The Economic Times.

Deloitte surveyed 111 financial institutions worldwide with more than $19 trillion in total assets and 49% had incorporated risk management.

The survey revealed only 36% of the institutions had an enterprise risk management system and 23% were in the process of creating one.

FirstBank gets compliant

The First Bank of Nigeria (FirstBank) has implemented a risk management solution from SAS in order to comply with global compliance trends and regulations, says Sys-Con Media.

SAS will be assisted by its local partner, Resourcery Nigeria, in deploying the analytics-based regulatory risk solution in the bank.

“By adopting a full risk management suite from SAS we are reinforcing transparency in our business and mitigating compliance and regulatory risks,” says Bisi Onasanya, FirstBank's CEO.
