Toshiba plans 64GB memory card

Toshiba is planning a 64GB SDXC memory card, with what it says is the world's fastest data transfer rate, states eWeek.

The card is also compliant with the new SD Memory Standard Version 3.0 UHS104, which is said to deliver data rates of 104MBps.

Additionally, Toshiba has included its SKHC memory card line to include 32GB and 16GB versions, also compliant with the UHS104 standard.

Infotrend intros 8G channel storage

Infortrend, a network storage provider, has added two 8Gbps fibre channel (FC) storage solutions, the F20 (fibre-to-SATA solution) and F60 (fibre-to-SAS solution), into its enterprise-class storage series, the enterprise scalable virtualised architecture (ESVA) product family, reports ComputerTechnologyReview.

The new 8Gbps FC storage solutions deliver high performance, combined with data protection and availability for the storage area network for mission-critical applications.

The company provides ESVA, EonStor storage solutions and SANWatch software for various storage interfaces.

IStorage unveils real-time encryption device

IStorage has unveiled devices designed to provide real-time hardware encryption along with data protection and security tools, says Computing.co.uk.

The firm claimed the two devices are suited to home users as well as small and large enterprises looking to control and restrict access to sensitive data.

The DigiSafe DiskCrypt Mobile and DigiSafe DeskCrypt products comply with a range of international data protection standards and regulations, according to the firm.
