TradeStone, ARTS partner

TradeStone Software has partnered with the Association of Retail Technology Standards (ARTS), according to Business Wire.

ARTS is the technology standards division of the National Retail Federation. Together TradeStone and ARTS are working closely with leading retailers including Urban Outfitters, Lowe's, Macy's and Kohl's as a product specification committee to develop product standards for private label and branded goods.

TradeStone's February PLM for retail standards committee meeting involving retailers Guitar Center, Auchan, Pacific Sunwear and others has evolved into a retailer-led effort and collaboration with ARTS.

Retail to protect privacy

By the end of August, Wal-Mart will unveil a radically changed privacy policy, states CBS News.

The policy envisions a merged channel world, where consumers are as likely to use their phone and laptop to interact with Wal-Mart as much as they would walk into a store or speak with a call centre.

The policy talks about not merely from a payment and a purchase history perspective, but also from a security camera's and cellphone's perspective.

Greatland adds e-commerce Web sites

Greatland has unveiled three retail Web sites on the MarketLive Intelligent Commerce Platform v5.5, states Sys-con Media.

The sites' new designs, navigation, product and service selection, and custom tools allow Greatland to increase customer loyalty and grow revenues by better serving the specific needs of three distinct groups of target customers, according to the company.

Powerful multi-site capabilities in the MarketLive Platform allow Greatland to easily manage all three sites, reducing administration costs, eliminating redundant work and simplifying site update and maintenance processes.
