Carl Raath, Cisco Technical Trainer at Torque-IT, drove to work in one car and drove back home in a luxury BMW 540.
Raath was recently presented with this luxury vehicle, along with temporary personalised number plates saying 'Carl`s BMW`, in recognition of his hard work and commitment to the company.
Gary Chalmers, CEO of Torque-IT, says, "Good Cisco trainers are hard to find and since Carl is consistently the best, we wanted to reward him for that."
Raath`s reaction? "It came as a complete surprise. I`m now a proud owner of a BMW 540, my absolute dream car." He also says while the gift doesn`t necessarily add pressure to perform, it does make him more aware of the fact that he has to perform, and entrenches the loyalty he shares with the company.
Raath has worked with Cisco products for four years, and has been with Torque-IT for the last two years. "I started off as an accountant, but found it too boring. So I chose a more exciting career in Technical Training. I really enjoy the teaching and problem solving aspect of my job at Torque-IT - there is always a buzz of excitement and a good learning atmosphere in the classes."
Chalmers described the company`s gift as "a way of thanking Carl for the hard work and commitment he has shown the company to date, and the excellent calibre of training we know he will continue to contribute to our team at Torque-IT in the future."
