Transcend Digital Album: Entertainment centre in the palm of your hand

Johannesburg, 01 Mar 2005

Transcend, together with South African distributor Rectron, has introduced the compact TS25PSP20G Digital Album with 20GB and 40GB memory on a 1.8-inch Micro Hard Disk to South African users.

The Digital Album can be used to store JPEG or M-Jpeg photos along with MP3 files. At a battery-included weight of 231g, the Digital Album is small and portable enough to easily slip into a jacket pocket or purse.

Listen to MP3 files with a headset plugged into the mini-jack or view saved photos using either the 2.5-inch high-resolution colour LCD display, or via the video-out port to a TV in NTSC or PAL format. Additionally, voice clips can be added to specific photos as by utilising the built-in microphone.

File transference from computers to the Digital Album is effortless with its multi-card reader slots and USB 2.0 port at a rate of 480Mbps.

"The Digital Album is perfect for any party or social event, and one can gather photos from everyone`s digital camera and display them on a big screen TV," says Reon Coetzee, marketing manager at Rectron.

The TS25PSP20G can be used for up to four hours with a fully charged lithium battery, or alternatively the 6v AC adapter for uninterrupted operations.
