Windows Magazine in the Middle East featured TRENDnet`s TEW-411BRP+ 125mbps 802.11g Wireless AP Router in its May 2005 issue.
Dressed in dark blue with a black plastic casing on the front is what distinguishes TRENDnet`s TEW-411BRP+ in a distinctive way. TRENDnet`s TEW-411BRP+ AP Router has an access point that is 802.11b/g compatible. When used with TRENDnet`s wireless networking adapters, it can offer up to 125Mbps of bandwidth. Two antennas are responsible for maintaining connectivity to clients and these are both detachable should you wish to boost the AP`s range with higher gain antennas.
A Web-based interface is on hand, which makes setting up this access point`s firewall and network encryption a cinch. It is recommended setting these up as soon as possible, as this will keep the network (and thus your data) safe from prying eyes. Four standard RJ45 network ports are present wired-based clients. An uplink port, which is provided, also is present if you need to expand your network further.
TRENDnet`s TEW-411BRP+ has excellent performance. It completed the standard network file transfer test in approximately three minutes and 17 seconds which beat the prior time of four minutes and four seconds.
