At the end-of-day on 22 April 2010 the Trustlink service achieved yet another milestone. The services achieved uninterrupted end-to-end service across all its services and components under its direct control for a remarkable 250 business days. This means that not a single service interruption was experienced in the past 13 months. In fact, the last service interruption experienced was in April 2009, and the service was fully restored within 20 minutes.
Dave Elliott (Manager: Solutions Division at Perago Africa) was delighted with this achievement. "We realise that our customers depend on the service we provide for mission critical systems and that reliability and availability of services are therefore critical to them. This achievement pays testimony to how serious we are to ensure that we meet our customers' expectations." Dave added that Perago Africa was re-certified to be ISO27001 (Information Security Management) compliant by Des Norges Veritas (DNV - an international certification institute) in November 2009. "Prevention is better that cure, and knowing that all our procedures adhere to international standards certainly adds to ensure that we can maintain the service levels that our customers have come accustomed to".
Says Andre Niemand (Head: Solutions Hosting at Perago Africa): "We really pride ourselves on our service levels. This achievement does not mean that we are now going to sit on our laurels. We are already implementing enhancements in our infrastructure in order to ensure that we will continue to maintain the high service levels that we strive to attain. One of the major enhancements on our environment will be the upgrade of our Dual-I connections to Alliance Connect Gold. We are also working with SWIFT to ensure that Trustlink will meet the criteria for the SWIFT Best Practise Label by the end of March 2010.
The SWIFT Best Practise Label is the highest level of accreditation awarded by SWIFT to service bureaus. Another one of the major enhancements on our environment will be the upgrade of our Dual-I connections to Alliance Connect Gold."
