Faritec, a JSE-listed managed services company, today announced the appointment of two new executives. Kenny Nkosi has been appointed as public sector executive and Dilley Naidoo has been appointed as telecommunications sector executive.
Kenny Nkosi has extensive knowledge and understanding of the South African public sector and will be responsible for Faritec Holding`s growth in this market. He has accumulated 16 years experience in the South African IT sector. Prior to his appointment at Faritec, Nkosi held the position of executive director for Real Global Business Solutions responsible for sales and marketing.
Within the public sector, Nkosi has worked on and managed a number of key projects including the National Treasury, North West Provincial Government, Statistics SA, SITA, SASOL Synthetic Fuels (SSF), South African Post Office, SAA, ESKOM, South African Weather Service and the Landbank. He has also held positions at Robert Bosch, Silicon Graphics, Comparex (Millsoft), SAS Institute and Sybase.
Naidoo will be responsible for Faritec`s strategic plans and growth into the southern African telecommunications sector. He has 28 years experience in the ICT industry, both locally and internationally. Prior to joining Faritec, Naidoo was the business development director of Consilience Technologies, an operation of the J&J Group. In April 2003, Faritec signed an empowerment transaction with the J&J Group and Naidoo joined the Faritec group shortly after the transaction.
He has also worked for Hewlett-Packard, PC & Peripheral Division, Silicon Graphics, Asiakon SA and ICL SA. Additionally, he is a member of the Black IT Forum (BITL), Makulu Consolidated Holdings, Computer Society SA, Institute of Marketing Professionals and Institute of Sales Professionals.
