TYAN announces 17 current products, two new products that support Six-Core AMD Opteron processor

TYAN, an industry-leading server platform provider, today announced its line of 17 current platforms and two new products that fully support the new Six-Core AMD Opteron processor (codenamed: "Istanbul"). Customers can achieve superior performance, low power consumption and low total cost of ownership with the TYAN platforms, powered by the new Six-Core AMD Opteron processor built on 45nm process technology.

All of the 19 TYAN platforms are specially designed for offering faster computing manageability, higher performance and lower power consumption with the adoption of AMD's latest processor technology.

TYAN servers with the new Six-Core AMD Opteron processor help provide customers better overall value in the data centre and meet customers' demanding needs on x86 servers/workstations. The optimised design and socket compatibility with Quad-Core AMD Opteron processors help enable customers to minimise the complex and labour-intensive process of building and deploying a new server environment. These are the critical issues for the HPC and cloud computing field. The Six-Core AMD Opteron processor also helps deliver a low total cost of ownership while still providing superior performance.

TYAN has launched two new platforms and 17 current products adopting the latest AMD technology that target various appliances. For mainstream and flexible 2-way motherboard solutions, TYAN's S2912-E, S2915-E, S2927-E, S2932-SI, S2937, S3992-E and S8802 are perfect platforms in various server and workstation environments. TYAN's S4985-SI, S4989-SI and S4992 and S8212 motherboards are 4-way solutions that are exceptionally proficient in high density and high performance targeting HPC and cloud computing.

For complete barebone solutions, the TYAN VX50-B4985-SI-8P, FT48-B4985-SI, TN68-B4989-SI, TA26-B3992-E, TA26-B2932-SI, GT24-B3992-E, GT24-B2932-SI, and GT24-B2912-E all offer a complete 2-way, 4-way or 8-way solution that is easily adaptable for high performance requirements. All the 19 TYAN platforms are easy to implement and easy to manage with the adoption of AMD Virtualisation (AMD-V) technology and AMD-P technology.
