The Channel Business Rich List 2005, an annual review of UK ICT resellers, shows the UK`s top 250 resellers turn over more than lb26 billion a year.
The review is sponsored by BT Indirect Channels and published by Channel Business, a UK monthly magazine for ICT suppliers, using data from analyst IT Europa, WEBITPR reports.
BT Global Services was listed in the top spot, with its latest UK derived revenue of about lb4 800 million.
The review found that many companies are experiencing much stronger demand from their business customers. In particular, companies that have transformed their business model from pure product resale to true solutions provision - incorporating hardware, software applications and services - have done well.
"There is a distinct trend moving down the list to the 10-50 ranking. Here, the companies that are reaping real benefits are those that have moved their business models to embrace the opportunities that a changing and converging market place has to offer," says Jon Lane, director, BT Indirect Channels.
