Transcend has introduced the Memory Stick Duo/PRO Duo, a memory stick that features all the performance, memory (512MB) and functionality of a normal stick but at only 43% the size.
Indeed, with electronic devices continually shrinking in size, the Memory Stick Duo/Pro Duo is a perfect example of the strides being made in the next wave of miniaturisation technology.
"The Memory Stick Duo is perfect for ultra-compact sized devices as well as mobile devices, while still offering all the performance you come to expect from a 512MB memory stick," comments Reon Coetzee, marketing manager of Rectron.
Also, using an adapter, the memory stick will perform the same as a standard Memory Stick/PRO card - providing a capacity recording format.
The Memory Stick Duo/Pro Duo features secure protection of commercial and copyright content, while also providing a mechanical write-protect switch.
