A new ultra-modern PC case design - dubbed the Tsunami - has arrived in SA thanks to Corex, one of this country`s newest distributors, and its principal, Thermaltake Technology.
The Tsunami range is targeted at the home theatre market, which, according to Corex MD Fred Lu, is becoming increasingly PC-oriented.
"Consumers are, however, aware of the lack of aesthetic appeal of conventional PC designs," he says.
"The Tsumani, on the other hand, with its space-age polished aluminium construction and brushed or optional polished black finish, breaks new ground in this arena. Its elegant double-door design complements existing high-end flat screen TVs, slim-line speakers and other fashion-conscious home audio and video products."
According to Lu, key features of the Tsunami range include the ease with which "do-it-your-selfers" can assemble a PC with the all internals - motherboards, hard drive units, DVD players, power supply systems - fitting easily into its roomy interior.
Other standard features include a 120mm washable dust filtered front intake fan, X-shaped window with 92mm side intake fan, 120mm blue LED exhaust fan, and top mounted audio + USB 2.0 + IEEE1394 jacks.
Adapter cards can be mounted screwlessly using a proprietary latching mechanism. The units also feature lockable side panels and intrusion detection switches, as well as retractable foot stands.
