Universal car adapter for laptops now available

By IT Public Relations
Johannesburg, 25 Feb 2009

PartServe Channel Support has launched its universal car adapter that works on nearly all laptop brands, including Dell, HP, Sony, Acer, Compaq, NEC, Asus, IBM, Samsung, Fujitsu, Apple and Toshiba. This is ideal for people who spend a lot of time travelling and need to charge their laptop between appointments or who need to use a laptop during a long-distance drive and cannot risk running out of power.

PartServe Channel Support director Lee Bowes says the universal car adapter is the first automatic voltage regulated car adapter in South Africa. “The universal car adapter has won the international Innovative Design Award, it has an LED display to show the voltage setting, it is cheaper than most vendors' original car adapters and, more importantly, it is immediately available. Normally one would need to wait two to three weeks for a specific adapter as distributors and resellers cannot keep all the various adapters in stock.”

He says resellers can stock up on the universal car adapter as this is a “one-adapter-fits-all product”, so it will not sit on your shelf. “This is the ultimate travel accessory, not only can it be used in all motor vehicle lighter fittings, but most airplanes now provide power sockets for your convenience.”

The universal car adaptor retails at R699 (Incl VAT). For more information, contact Lee Bowes at telephone (011) 201-7777; fax (011) 201-7999; e-mail leeb@partserve.co.za.
