University brings conference to UAE

The British University in Dubai has won the bid to host a world event in technology management, reports Al Bawaba.

The 17th International Conference on Management of Technology will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, president of Dubai Civil Aviation and chairman of the Emirates Group.

The conference will tackle issues arising from the application of technology in the knowledge economy.

e-Builder, OxBlue host Webinar

e-Builder and OxBlue will host a webinar that discusses the concept of visibility, a company's ability to look into the future and forecast construction project costs, completion dates, and diminish , according to PR Web.

e-Builder and OxBlue announced that the webinar will explain the effects of total project visibility on improving operations, decreasing , and increasing profitability.

The webinar is scheduled for 31 October and will discuss how organisations are using e-Builder's Web-based project management software, and OxBlue Web construction cameras for improved capital project planning, execution, and delivery.

PMs get database storage

Project managers can now capture their project meetings in a database, allowing them to action items with a minimum of effort, according to PR-GB.

The Project Administrator software allows you to manage the meeting action items alongside actions generated by issues, risks, assumptions, benefits and other sources.

"Project managers have actions popping up all over the place. The key to controlling action items is to get them all into one bucket", says Neville Turbit, a director of Project Perfect.
