Faculty Training Institute (FTI), a training company celebrated for its business analysis, project management, enterprise architecture and testing training, has announced plans to completely revamp its signature Business Analysis portfolio in order to align it with current industry trends and legislative updates.
"Business analysis is one of the fastest-growing careers in IT. It is suited to multi-skilled individuals who effectively combine business knowledge, technological literacy, and strong interpersonal communications skills to help their organisations specify the requirements for modern business systems, eliminate waste and reduce risk," says Alex Noel, Principal Lecturer and BA Mentor at Faculty Training Institute.
"For many years, FTI has been considered the pre-eminent provider of business analysis training and skills development by delegates and organisations. FTI grows business analysis professionals by offering an environment for learning that is challenging yet supportive, intense yet fun, demanding yet rewarding. In this way, we enable and empower participants in their programmes to be value-adding contributors."
FTI's Diploma in Business Analysis is a comprehensive part-time programme that has come to be the definitive qualification for business analysts in South Africa. Over 3 800 delegates have successfully completed the programme in the last decade, and as many as 700 business analysts graduate from FTI each year to meet the corporate industry's growing demand for formally skilled business analysts.
"As part of an ongoing commitment to build skill in the field of professional business analysis, it is necessary for FTI to constantly adapt the programmes that are offered. Motivators for change range from altering structures to comply with emerging standards in education to revising content to be current with progression in the profession of business analysis," Noel clarifies. "We are confident and excited that our revamped Business Analysis portfolio will meet these requirements."
The practical nature of programmes offered at FTI assures delegates the opportunity to acquire knowledge while learning to apply that knowledge skilfully in the workplace. This philosophy, coupled with FTI's policy of having practising analysts as instructors, ensures the focus remains on building relevant skills, not just delivering content in a classroom.
As part of the re-launch and upgrade of the Business Analysis portfolio, the final intakes for the FTI Diploma in Business Analysis and Business Analysis Upgrade programme are currently under way.
