US-based search engine optimisation (SEO) consultant Bruce Clay is to visit SA next month to present a training course aimed at enabling local online companies to improve Web site rankings across the major search engines.
"Designing an award winning Web site is not enough if potential visitors do not know it exists. It is the integration of Web design, development, and Internet marketing with focused traffic-generation tactics that is vital to the success of your site," says Clay.
The training course, to be presented in Cape Town from 10 to 12 July 2006, is designed to be relevant to people with all levels of SEO knowledge, including business owners, Web masters, and SEO practitioners, he says.
"Topics range from the basic theory behind how search engines work, to advanced SEO techniques like how to optimise dynamic pages or increase your conversion rate without sacrificing rankings," says Clay.
The course will teach online businesses to analyse search engine results and edit Web sites to achieve top placement using the SEOToolSet tools and methodology. The course also features an SEO Code of Ethics and best-practices session.
