USA Group networks Web-based access to diverse reports across 17 states.

Mobius Management Systems, Inc. today announced that USA Group has implemented Mobius`s ViewDirect technology, using DocumentDirect for the Internet to provide USA Group customers with Web-based access to diverse reports. Implementation of the Web component was completed within one month.

Indianapolis-based USA Group provides education loan services and other financial, information, and management consulting services to colleges and universities, lending institutions, and other financial services organisations, in diverse locations across 17 states. USA Group companies guarantee or process $9 billion in student loans annually and administer a student loan portfolio totaling more than $14 billion.

Mobius is a leading provider of software for storing, accessing and presenting diverse documents in distributed environments. USA Group is using the DocumentDirect for the Internet component of Mobius`s ViewDirect software suite to enable customers to access and manipulate their data and loan status reports through password-protected sections on the USA Group Web site. Customers use Web browsers to view their reports and are able to import data to spreadsheets and other applications to produce and analyze customized reports.

USA Group`s internal users also use DocumentDirect, Mobius`s Windows-based viewing client, and DocuAnalyzer, a data mining client that extracts data from reports for analysis. These products work in conjunction with ViewDirect, the archiving engine and document server.

With the implementation of the Mobius solution, lender reports are available to USA Group customers via DocumentDirect for the Internet as soon as they are created. Currently, there are more than 800 customers accessing report information on the USA Group system, with the potential for 6,000 to 8,000 more.
