Content manager from Microsoft
Microsoft will today release its Content Management Server (CMS) 2002 as part of the .Net Enterprise Server Family. CMS 2002 supports standards-based XML and exposes its content as XML-based Web services. CMS 2002 includes the ability to publish directly from Microsoft Word, simplifying the process of publishing content. Microsoft hopes this feature will increase the uptake of the product because of its simplicity. CMS also looks to lure in developers who need to quickly develop content-based sites, as it is tightly integrated with Visual Studio .Net and the .Net framework. To speed up deployment, Microsoft has built CMS to work with the company`s application centre which streamlines the roll-out of Microsoft products.
