EMC has launched its new Velocity Partner Programme to the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region. The programme will provide incentives for resellers and integrators that sell, install and support storage-related solutions to invest in EMC certification and training.
Classified according to skills-based qualifications such as the number of EMC-certified personnel and revenue performance, Velocity partners will be rewarded with improved co-op funds, EMC technology rebates, enhanced sales programmes, training and marketing support to help make their EMC Automated Networked Storage sales more profitable.
"Velocity is a skills-based programme aimed at better equipping our partners to compete in the EMEA storage market," says Igal Prigan, channel manager at EMC. "EMC recognises that partners with the best sales, engineering and professional services skills will help it address new and underserved market segments and will reward and reciprocate the commitment of organisations that invest in their relationship with EMC."
Alongside the programme that begins in October with a CLARiiON performance-based goal, EMC also introduced its new Channel Express online configuration, price, quote and order system.
"This new tool, developed in conjunction with partners, will help ensure that end-user customers are getting the right solution for their needs, in the most efficient manner and at the most competitive price," says Prigan. The EMC Velocity Partner Programme is a global initiative. Supporters within EMEA include Bell Micro and Fujitsu Siemens Computers.
