Venture announces Z31 Colour Jetprinter

Venture Computer, the sole distributor in Southern Africa for Lexmark International today introduced the newest addition to its Z-line of colour inkjet printers, the Lexmark Z31 Color Jetprinter.

Built for the avid home user, the Lexmark Z31 Color Jetprinter delivers to consumers the benefits of Lexmark`s "signature features" - 1200x1200 dpi (the highest resolution in the inkjet industry), its patented Accu-Feed paper handling system, and an award-winning industrial design.

The Z31 Color Jetprinter delivers fast print speeds of up to 8 ppm in black text and 3.5 ppm in colour. In addition, the Z31 offers one-click driver installation, easy-open cartridge installation/replacement, and a simple getting started booklet for quick and easy set-up and use out of the box. The Z31 is packaged with a value-added software offer, and can be used with an optional photo cartridge for six-colour printing.

In addition, Lexmark has modelled the Z31 and its other "Z"-line printers after the award-winning and confidence-inspiring design of its Lexmark 3200 Color Jetprinter, which was recently named a 1999 IDEA (Industrial Design in Engineering Award) winner by the Industrial Design Society of America and award co-sponsor BusinessWeek.

Signature features of Lexmark`s Z-line printers include 1200x1200 dpi resolution, which is 38 percent higher than most competitors. In addition, Lexmark`s Accu-Feed system, adapted from its laser printers, allows inkjet users to feed up to 100 sheets of paper and a wide variety of paper options and weight (up to 180 lbs.), with virtually no risk of paper jams or misfeeds.
