Venture Computer today announced that it has cut the recommended retail pricing of its Lexmark 1100 and 3200 colour Jetprinters to R699 and R999 respectively (inclusive of VAT).
The Lexmark 1100 inkjet printer previously retailed at R999. This printer offers superb all-round print quality, and best-in-class resolution at a very aggressive price. The new 1100 is bundled with extra value for the home user, by having the Lexmark Disney Print Studio included in the box. This allows the consumer to experience the magic of Disney, and to create everything from greeting cards, to charts and place mats. The Lexmark 3200 printer was originally priced at R1 499 including VAT. Venture Computer, together with Lexmark, has managed to reduce pricing dramatically to an unbelievable R999. This is the first time a twin-head printer with 1 200 x 1 200dpi resolution has been available in the South African market at below R1 000. This is indicative of the way in which technology is creating new and affordable opportunities for the home user in particular. The Lexmark 3200 offers photo-quality straight out of the box, making it ideal for a wealth of colour printing applications. It can be upgraded to six-colour printing for ultimate photo-realism.
The Lexmark 3200 also offers the consumer extra value with the Micrografx Windows Draw 6.0 CD, which allows the user to have versatility in designing and incorporating thousands of ready-to-print projects with editable photos and clip art.
