Venture Computer, the sole distributor in Southern Africa for Lexmark International, today announced the Lexmark Z12 Color Jetprinter, reinforcing its commitment to customers purchasing entry-level printers. The Z12 delivers 1200 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi) resolution on all paper types, once again offering features typically associated with higher-end inkjets to the entry-level user.

Lexmark created this entry-level segment in 1997 by introducing the industry`s first entry-level inkjet printer. Lexmark continued to revolutionise this market in 1999, delivering features typically reserved for the higher end of the market across its entire line, including Accu-Feed paper handling which virtually eliminates paper jams and high 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution. This high dpi resolution can reduce graininess in prints, helping to deliver a crisper image. Lexmark`s printers deliver up to 1.44 million dots per square inch, while most competitors in this segment deliver 360,000 or less.

The Lexmark Z12 brings technology typically associated with high-end inkjets to the entry-level segment, featuring 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution in both black and colour on all paper types.
