Smart Storage Technologies (SmartStor), Drive Control Corporation (DCC) and MGX have all received certification as Veritas partners under the newly announced Veritas Enterprise Partner Programme.

SmartStor has qualified as elite partner, DCC as premier partner and MGX as select partner.

In terms of its certification programme, established in 2002 in order to assure customers of qualified services around their investments in Veritas products, all enterprise partners who sell and support the Veritas Enterprise range of products must have at least two level one Veritas-certified professionals. The cut-off point was January, and the above channel companies received the thumbs up.

Elizabeth le Roux, business development manager at Veritas SA, says: "The programme serves to strengthen the Veritas product line by creating a community of product and solution experts, while improving consistency in product installation, configuration and support. Partners benefit by developing their company`s productivity, quality of and maximising satisfaction."

The enterprise partner certification also serves as a differentiator of partners and Veritas will work closely with its partners to leverage value within their solutions. Le Roux believes the certification will allow for more alignment with multinational vendors, ensuring that Veritas software is leveraged within all solutions.

"We will also provide enhanced marketing and pre-sales support to those that have invested in our product range and will hold account planning sessions with these partners," she concludes.
