Verizon releases wireless backup solution
Verizon Internet released an automatic wireless broadband backup solution that targets small to medium enterprises (SMEs), reports TMCnet.

The communications giant is pitching it to businesses with distributed locations which primarily use IDA for outbound traffic, Web research or point-of-sale transactions.

Sprint showcases embedded router
Sprint has announced the certification of the Gobi embedded router, Top Global MB7900, which is powered by its 3G network, reports TMCnet.
The single embedded router is scalable and re-programmable to support multiple wireless networks worldwide. As a result, machine-to-machine equipment, sensor, and control manufacturers also can develop global solutions with the technology.
Wayne Ward, vice-president of emerging solutions at Sprint, says: “the network scalability and dependability of the MB7900 make it an ideal choice for applications in business continuity; homeland security; mobile surveillance; digital signage; vending, retailing, and point-of-sale; in-vehicle data connectivity and asset management.”
