Verizon, SAP in cloud collaboration

This is the first in what will be a series of SAP applications deployed in the cloud by Verizon. By accessing SAP CRM and subsequent applications in the cloud, enterprises can realise easier and faster deployments.

According to Telecom Paper, the cloud-based delivery of SAP applications enables enterprises to deploy SAP application functionality in a scalable manner.

It provides global users with secure access to business applications, while enabling companies contain hardware and management costs associated with traditional software deployment models.

In another reports, Connected Plant states that Verizon wants to pursue more than one niche in the cloud computing market, and will hence build a full range of options that offer managed and unmanaged infrastructure, on top of which the company will layer platform applications.
