Virginia Centre deploys Soarian
Virginia Hospital Centre will unveil a $14 million new hospital information system in 2009 that will utilise advanced information technologies to create efficiencies and orchestrate clinical best practices, states Market Watch.
The hospital signed an agreement with Siemens Medical Solutions and will implement its workflow-engineered health information solution, Soarian

Coventry selects InterComponentWare
Coventry Health Care has selected InterComponentWare's Professional Exchange Server and Device Connectivity Solution as the interoperability platform and infrastructure solution for a home health telemonitoring programme, says Market Watch.
Coventry's pilot programme features the deployment of home health medical devices to congestive heart failure patients in a defined geographic region, along with care management services and patient data exchange for the physicians.
This pilot is designed to align member, physician and health plan incentives, resulting in improved and timely access to physician care.
URHCS implements CDW Healthcare solution
United Regional Health Care System of Wichita Falls, Texas, has released the initial phase of its electronic care documentation initiative, with a customised cart solution configured and deployed by CDW Healthcare, a provider of healthcare technology products and services, reports CBR.
CDW Healthcare technology collaborated with the health care system's IT department and several clinicians in order to understand their requirements.
The CDW Healthcare team committed to build, configure and deploy a mobile computing and medication administration solution that equips the health care system's emergency department and inpatient care units with customised carts.
