Vision Solutions, CCSS team up in high availability clustering partnership

Strategic partnership benefits customers by providing improved management in high availability environments.
Johannesburg, 24 Jul 2003

IDION Technology Holdings` subsidiary, Vision Solutions - a leading managed availability solutions provider today announced a high availability clustering alliance partnership with CCSS Ltd, a renowned systems management solution developer for IBM`s eServer iSeries platform.

CCSS develops and supports QMessage Monitor, the company`s message escalation and management solution which delivers core systems management solutions for the IBM eServer iSeries. ClusterProven QMessage Monitor works with Vision Suite and the clustering management services embedded in the operating system to ensure user processing is unaffected during any switchover and continues management once the backup server goes into production. The results of this joint technical effort assure customers that QMessage Monitor will continue to manage the iSeries servers, even in a fail-over or switch-over situation.

"The Vision brand is synonymous not only with premier high availability solutions, but also a pioneering approach to bringing their solutions to the market," said Ray Wright, Managing Director of CCSS. "As a company, they are quick to recognise the potential of teaming up with other specialists and channelling the value of those partnerships straight back to their customers. We`re very pleased to be working with them on this new alliance."

"This new clustering alliance means customers can be assured that the products work together properly and will perform accordingly in an operating environment," said Ron Peeters, Senior Director of Business Development for Vision Solutions. "We believe striking such a partnership will maximise the benefits of our high availability offering for our customers."
