Vision Solutions, a leader in the information availability management industry, announced a partnership with Apria Healthcare Group Inc., a home healthcare company. Vision Solutions will be partnering with Apria on Beta testing of its Vision Suite solution, as well as working with Apria to develop other software enhancements for its IBM iSeries 400 (AS/400) servers.

Apria chose to use Vision Solutions` Vision Suite as its information availability management solution for several reasons, one being that the US Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) requires that home healthcare companies have a documented, auditable disaster recovery plan. However, Apria wanted a more sophisticated technology than simple back-up or disaster recovery; it needed a comprehensive information availability management solution.
