The Visions Report, a ground breaking initiative, aimed at assisting organisations in selecting employment equity products, has been launched by IT and consulting specialist group, Visions Consulting.
Visions Consulting CEO, Tracy Lemon, says that although the Employment Equity Act has opened up new opportunities and challenges for both the public and private sectors in South Africa, many organisations have expressed frustration at the proliferation of Employment Equity products currently on the market.
"Many organisations are still feeling their way around employment equity needs and are overwhelmed by the variety of products and services available to them," says Lemon.
The Visions Report provides an innovative step-by-step walk-through of the employment equity process, with participating vendors positioning their products against the relevant step/s at which their products provide services. The result is an easy to use guide to employment equity products.
According to Lemon The Visions Report required the cooperation and participation of over 40 competing vendors. "It is an indication of just how eager the vendors themselves are to introduce some kind of stability into the Employment Equity arena," she says.
The report comprises four main sections. The first section describes the Employment Equity process, the second section provides an analysis of the products and services currently available on the market, and the third section positions products according to the features and services they provide. The last part of the report incorporates a directory of vendors` contact details.
