Visiprise top manufacturing technology provider
Visiprise, an integrated manufacturing operations solutions company, has been named number one on the 2006 START-IT 125 list of the most influential manufacturing technology providers.
The list is compiled by the editors and editorial advisors of technology in manufacturing magazine START-IT, formerly Start magazine, to provide a snapshot of the industrial market and the companies with the greatest impact on its direction, explains Yahoo! Finance.

IMTS expects 1 300 companies
The International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS), being held in Chicago from 6 to 13 September, will host more than 1 300 leading producers in over 1.1 million square feet (102 193m^2) of exhibit space.
IMTS is expecting over 85 000 buyers and sellers from 80 countries, writes ManufacturingTalk, and will showcase more than 15 000 machine tools, controls, computers, software, components, systems, and processes to improve efficiency
According to John B Byrd III, president of the Association For Manufacturing Technology, US value-added manufacturing output is at record levels. "Manufacturing is in a time of transition and that process has been accelerating for three consecutive years," he says.

New service management functionality automates manufacturing service processes, enabling servicing of complex machines and equipment on a periodic or call-initiated basis.
