VMware signs with itX

Virtualisation vendor VMware has extended its distribution agreement with itX, says CRN Australia.

According to Paul Harapin, MD of VMware A/NZ, the move is an attempt to increase the reach of VMware products, services and support in this region via the distributor's reseller network.

itX currently distributes VMware desktop solutions, however the deal will enable the company to offer VMware's entire virtualisation portfolio.

Distributor Seneca Data has expanded its relationship with Fujitsu Computing Systems to make the vendor's pen-based computing products and accessories available to Seneca's reseller customers, says eChannelLine.

Seneca has been selling Fujitsu's pen-based computing products as a reseller, and this expansion of the distributor's relationship with Fujitsu makes Seneca a full distributor of the products.

As a VAD, Seneca servers more than 4 000 resellers and ISVs, and according to Kevin W Jaskolka, marketing communications manager for Seneca Data, there are ample opportunities for resellers in the area of tablet and slate computing products. In addition to Fujitsu, Seneca also distributes tablet and slate computers from other vendors.

The UK's premier channel exhibition is taking place in Hall 19 of the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham on 21 and 22 May, says vnunet.com.

Last year, over 3 300 people attended the event, which for the first time combined four reseller shows under the new name of Channel Expo. This year the show's organisers are confident of breaking the 4 500 visitor barrier.

Channel Expo is the only event that brings the entire channel under one roof, showcasing the UK's most diverse range of products and services for the reseller community, encompassing hardware, applications, networking, storage and peripherals.
