As part of an exciting new programme to reward its more than 15.5 million loyal customers, Vodacom South Africa is set to launch the most exciting television game show ever to be screened in SA called Yebo Millionaires.
SABC 1 has been selected as the media partner and the Yebo Millionaires game show will be aired for the first time on 18 October 2005 and Vodacom customers will have the opportunity to enter the competition from 11 October 2005.
Yebo Millionaires is exclusive to Vodacom customers and is open to contract, prepaid and top-up customers.
This exhilarating loyalty programme will reward Vodacom customers with cash prizes in excess of R1 million every week. The weekly TV game show is set to run until April 2006 and will be broadcast every Tuesday on SABC 1 just before 18:00.
Entering the game show is easy. Vodacom customers need simply SMS any nine letters of the alphabet to 32082, the Yebo Millionaires SMS line. During the TV show, the winning letters will be announced and the customer who has a nine-letter match can win R1 million, those that have an eight-letter match can win R100 000 and for a seven-letter match customers will receive a R29 recharge voucher. Vodacom will also give away cellphones during weekly lucky draws and a Ford Focus motor vehicle in monthly lucky draws.

Yebo Millionaires is a weekly SMS game show where customers can send their nine lucky letters of the alphabet to 32082. Letters can be repeated, eg AA and letters can be in any order, eg CBA. Once customers have SMSed in their nine letters, they will receive an SMS with an easy multiple choice question that must be answered correctly in order to qualify to play the game. A new qualifying question will be asked every week. Once the question has been correctly answered, the entrant will receive an SMS confirming that the entry has been accepted and entered into the draw and will include a reference number for the entry. Entrants should retain this SMS as proof of entry.
Entries close at 12:00 every Tuesday, the day of the draw.
A random selection mechanism will be used to choose the nine winning letters and the weekly results will be audited by Vodacom`s independent auditors.
All Vodacom customers will receive two free SMSes per week to enter the Yebo Millionaires game show. The first SMS is to play the game and the second one to answer the weekly qualifying question. These SMSes will be loaded every Tuesday morning. Prepaid and top-up customers will receive an additional free SMS for every recharge performed during the week that will be loaded at the time of recharge. Free game show SMSes can only be used to play Yebo Millionaires and SMSes not used during the week will unfortunately not be carried over to the next week.
Vodacom customers can enter as many times as they like. Once the free game show SMSes have been used, a premium rate of R1 (VAT included) per SMS will be charged.
Part of the proceeds from the Yebo Millionaires game show will be donated to various charity organisations. Details of the charity organisations will be shared with viewers during the broadcast of the show. With every single entry, Vodacom customers will make a difference in the life of someone less fortunate.
Tune into SABC 1 every Tuesday from 18 October 2005 for the first of many Yebo Millionaires game shows to come.
