Vodacom third best overall favourite brand

Vodacom, with its more than 18 million customers, has re-affirmed itself as SA`s leading cellular network after receiving top honours in this year`s Markinor Sunday Times Top Brand Survey, in which Vodacom was voted third in South Africa`s Overall Favourite Brand of 2005, surpassing all its telecommunications competitors.

In addition to scooping this prestigious position in the Overall Favourite Brand category, Vodacom has retained its position as the Top Brand Telecommunications Provider for a second consecutive year.

Another feather in Vodacom`s cap is being rated fifth overall as the company operating in SA that has done the most for community upliftment.

Vodacom continues to invest in projects that have direct impact on communities and that are sustainable. Education, health and welfare, safety and security are the key areas of the Vodacom Foundation`s investment.

South Africa`s Favourite Advertisement, which includes television, print, radio and billboard advertising, is another category that has Vodacom`s name on the winners list. From Yebo Gogo to Vodafone live!, the Vodacom campaigns are firm favourites with South Africans.

Vodacom ranked seventh overall as SA`s Coolest Brand is the only telecommunications provider to be ranked in the Top 10. The spontaneous awareness association is an extension of Vodacom`s footprint sponsorships in national and community projects, sport and entertainment across the board.
