Vodafone streamlines operations

Vodafone will make 450 of its staff redundant at its Newbury headquarters as part of the telco giant's plans to simplify its operating model, states Mobile Today.

The cuts are expected to affect 20% of senior management, however, Vodafone revealed that 490 new roles will be created.

A further 130 sales and service roles are to be created in Vodafone's enterprise business while the online sales and customer service activity will be enhanced including e-billing capability, adding 30 more roles.

firm e-billing analysis released

Analysis firm, Entra has released its first Factor Analysis study focusing on law firm e-billing, reports PRWeb.

Entra claims the study gives law firms an analysis around e-billing, a review of solutions, and an analysis of the market and competitors.

Entra CEO, Greg Coticchia, says the study aims to provide information to medium and large law firms which he says traditionally lack an industry organisation to review e-billing offerings to make better business decisions.

Study predicts rise in online payments

The number of US households paying bills online will grow from 48 million this year to 63 million by 2014, according to a new forecast by Forrester Research, says MarketWatch.

The 5.4% compound annual growth rate reflects a maturing market where growth rates will shrink in the years ahead, but it also reflects a market that is not yet saturated.

Forrester sees a shift in the online bill payment market as more consumers turn to and bill payment consolidators like Yodlee and Corillian because of several factors, including the convenience of having multiple bills aggregated at a single Web site, the elimination of bill payment fees, and innovative marketing efforts to drive adoption.
