VoxTelecom, the voice division of niche telco and premier ISP DataPro, has announced the launched of its cellular least-cost routing (LCR) solution, a market sector it believes will show significant growth during the next few years as businesses continue to find ways of curbing costs.
Cellular least-cost routing (GSM-LCR) is a method of optimising cellular call costs, whereby calls are automatically routed via the most cost-effective carriers.
Jaco Voigt, Director of VoxTelecom, said many businesses in SA are paying more than they should for their outbound calls. By making use of a GSM-LCR system for cellular calls, customers stand to realistically save between 20% and 33% of their monthly phone bills.
"Fundamental to these systems is that once they are implemented, they work seamlessly to the user. In other words, the company does not have to change anything in its dialling habits in order to make use of the system - and there are also no interruptions in normal day-to-day business operations.
"Mobile networks are playing an ever-increasing role in our everyday lives and this trend will continue to gather momentum. Least-cost routing will follow the same trend. More operators are poised to enter the telecoms market in a move to offer a range of services."
The launch of this service was brought about after repeated requests from existing international and data customers having experienced the excellent service that VoxTelecom delivers. "We have found that the cellular LCR market is an industry rife with bad service, inflated savings and some time unethical service providers. Our ability to deliver exactly what the customer needs and expects."
Voigt said the new company is expected to dramatically boost DataPro`s revenues during the next 12 months.
