VXL Instruments, a leading global manufacturer of thin client devices, today announced it has become a Select Partner in the Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) programme of VMware, the world's leading provider of virtualisation solutions. Through this alliance, VXL will gain the use of VMware testing software, marketing tools, and technical support for technology integration between the two companies.
Through strategic alliances such as this, VXL continues to add benefits for customers in the process of deploying virtualisation technologies. To gain this accolade, VXL has demonstrated that its entire range of innovative thin clients provides high levels of integration with the VMware technology. This includes the highly successful Itona desktop range, the recently upgraded Itona thin client laptop and the new Itona Integrated desktop with touch-screen capability.
"Virtualisation technology has matured rapidly and is currently one of the leading trends in the enterprise market, and we strongly believe this expansion will continue into all sectors," commented Frank Noon, Worldwide VP of Sales at VXL. "As one of the leading providers of thin client desktops, we strongly believe in the benefits of virtualisation and are pleased to become a member of the VMware Technology Alliance Partner Programme. We are proud to offer our customers the possibility to test and use VXL products in VMware virtual environments and help them to improve sustainability and further lower the total cost of ownership."
For the last 18 months, VXL has been working to ensure the maximum compatibility of its products with the major software vendors. As the alliance with VMware develops, VXL will continue to validate the interoperability of its products with those from VMware, allowing customers to be confident of the benefits of deploying them in concert.
